Network Developer

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer with strong backend development skills to join our dynam-ic technology team. In this role, you will design, implement, and optimize our network infrastructure while also contributing to backend systems that support our applications. Your primary focus will be on network reliability, security, and performance, with additional responsibility for backend integration and API support.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Network Engineering

• Network Design and Architecture: Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure network infra-structure aligned with platform growth and application requirements.

• Deployment and Configuration: Deploy applications, firmware, or images on VMs within designated hardware. Configure network and server settings for optimal performance.

• Testing and Feasibility: Conduct thorough testing of virtualized environments, identifying bottlenecks, limitations, or compatibility issues.

• Problem-Solving and Optimization: Troubleshoot issues during testing and production, working with developers to optimize platform performance and stability.

• Documentation and Reporting: Prepare comprehensive reports on findings, recommendations, and po-tential roadblocks, including updates for seamless virtualization.

• Knowledge Sharing and Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, system engineers, and product managers to ensure network solutions meet all stakeholder needs.

Backend Development

• Architecture & Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure backend architectures and services to support network-integrated applications.

• API Development: Develop, maintain, and document RESTful APIs; familiarity with GraphQL/gRPC is a plus.

• Database Management: Work with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis) for data modelling and optimization.

• Backend Integration: Integrate backend services with third-party APIs, cloud services, and network in-frastructure.

• Performance Optimization: Diagnose and resolve backend bottlenecks, ensuring high performance, reli-ability, and availability.

• Maintenance & Upgrades: Regularly refactor, upgrade, and maintain existing systems to meet evolving needs.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline.

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in systems and network engineering.

• 3+ years of professional experience in backend development.

• Proficient in one or more backend languages: Golang, Node.js, C/C++, Java, .NET, or C#.

• Expertise in REST API design and implementation.

• Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis).

• Hands-on experience with microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Familiar with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

• Experience with DevOps cycle or cloud managed services.

• Experience with software development life cycle is a plus.

Required Skills

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Proficiency with networking technologies: routers (Cisco, Juniper, HP, Ruijie), firewall configurations, and network protocols.

• Extensive understanding of network architecture principles: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, load balancing, and NAT.

• Hands-on experience with server hardware, network switches, and hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI).

• Experience with network monitoring and security tools (e.g., Wireshark, Nagios, Zabbix, Splunk).

• Knowledge of operating systems: Windows, Ubuntu, Linux, or any UNIX-like OS.

• Knowledge of systems and networks at the application/software layer, understanding how network de-sign impacts application performance.

• Experience deploying and managing virtualized or bare metal environments in production.

• Proactive in learning new technologies and methodologies.
