Network & Security Engineer
Industry: Telecommunication IT Managed Services
Minimum Experience:
At least 2 years of relevant experience.
Job Description:
- Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS)
- Handle DDoS mitigation and traffic filtering
- Manage firewall policies for enterprise telecom customers
- Analyze backbone and access network performance
- Support IP addressing, subnetting, and peering issues
- Perform failover testing and redundancy validation
- Work with IX (Internet Exchange) and upstream providers
Mandatory Certifications:
- Cisco CCNP (ENCOR + ENARSI) / Aruba Professional / Huawei HCIP
- CWSP, F5-CTS, CISSP, or Security+ are advantageous
Key ITIL Responsibilities:
- Incident & Problem Management
- Security Incident Management
- Change & Configuration Management
- Access Management
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, Wi-Fi)
- Troubleshoot connectivity, performance, and security issues
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring incidents
- Implement changes in accordance with ITIL processes
- Maintain accurate documentation and CMDB records
- Manage access control and respond to security incidents
Work Arrangement:
- Operate within a 24/7 service environment based on role responsibilities
- Shift-based working arrangement for operational roles (e.g., NOC, support, and engineering)
- On-call availability required for critical incidents, escalations, or emergency support
- Willingness to work outside regular business hours, including weekends and public holidays when required
