Position Summary
The National Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing the national sales strategy, leading a high-performing sales team, driving revenue growth, and strengthening relationships with key healthcare stakeholders across Indonesia.
The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership capabilities, a successful track record in diagnostics, biotechnology, medical devices, or pharmaceutical sales, and a solid understanding of oncology and precision medicine. Candidates with experience in cancer diagnostics and oncology-related healthcare markets will be highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Sales Leadership
- Develop and execute national sales strategies aligned with business objectives and growth targets.
- Establish sales goals, KPIs, and performance measures across territories.
- Identify new market opportunities and drive market expansion initiatives.
- Monitor market trends, competitive activities, and customer needs to optimize commercial performance.
2. Team Management & Development
- Lead, coach, and mentor the national sales team to achieve and exceed targets.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing development support.
- Recruit, onboard, and train high-performing sales professionals.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
3. Business Development & Key Account Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with:
- Hospitals
- Oncology centers
- Diagnostic laboratories
- Oncologists
- Pathologists
- Healthcare institutions
- Strategic distribution partners
- Develop and execute account strategies for key customers.
- Identify and secure strategic business partnerships to expand market reach.
4. Commercial Excellence
- Achieve national sales and profitability targets.
- Deliver accurate sales forecasts and pipeline management.
- Collaborate closely with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Operations, and Finance teams to ensure successful commercial execution.
- Monitor and improve sales productivity and customer engagement.
5. Compliance & Governance
- Ensure all commercial activities comply with company policies, healthcare regulations, and industry ethical standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting requirements.
Qualifications
1. Education
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Medical Laboratory Technology, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- MBA or postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
2. Experience
- Minimum 7–10 years of successful sales experience in one or more of the following industries:
- Molecular Diagnostics
- Genomics
- Biotechnology
- Medical Devices
- Clinical Diagnostics
- Pharmaceuticals
- Minimum 3–5 years of sales leadership experience managing a national or regional team.
- Proven track record of delivering and exceeding revenue targets.
- Strong network within hospitals, diagnostic laboratories, oncology centers, and healthcare institutions across Indonesia.
3. Preferred Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of oncology, cancer diagnostics, and precision medicine.
- Experience promoting or selling products and services related to:
- Oncology
- Molecular Diagnostics
- Genomic Testing
- Precision Medicine
- Pathology
- Cancer Care Solutions
- Established relationships with oncologists, pathologists, cancer centers, and key healthcare decision-makers.
- Understanding of the Indonesian oncology market landscape, patient pathways, reimbursement environment, and healthcare regulations.
