MUSIC TEACHER

The Role
The Music Teacher will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging music experiences that allow students to explore music through singing, movement, instruments, rhythm, performance, and creative expression.
The successful candidate will be able to create a positive and inclusive learning environment where children feel comfortable experimenting, expressing themselves, and developing their musical abilities.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate music lessons from Preschool to Secondary level.
• Introduce students to a variety of musical concepts, instruments, genres, and forms of musical expression.
• Develop students’ musical skills through singing, rhythm, movement, listening, composition, and performance.
• Encourage creativity, confidence, collaboration, and self-expression through music.
• Adapt learning activities according to students’ different abilities, interests, and developmental needs.
• Integrate music into interdisciplinary and project-based learning where appropriate.
• Prepare students for school performances, productions, celebrations, and other musical events.
• Collaborate with homeroom teachers and other subject teachers to support students’ overall learning.
• Document students’ learning progress and provide meaningful feedback.
• Contribute ideas and support the development of the school’s music program.
• Participate actively in school activities, meetings, professional development, and community events.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Music, Performing Arts, Education, or a related field.
• Previous experience teaching music and choir
• Strong musical skills and confidence in working with children across different age groups.
• Able to play one or more musical instruments confidently.
• Good spoken and written English communication skills.
• Creative, energetic, patient, and enthusiastic when working with children.
• Able to design learning experiences that are engaging, hands-on, and student-centered.
• Comfortable working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Willing to learn, reflect, and continuously develop professionally.
