Position Overview
Howel is looking for Full-Time Merchandiser Staff to manage the flow of our products end to end, from purchase orders and supplier deliveries to stock, marketplace listings, and product development.
This role goes beyond data entry. We are looking for someone who keeps product data accurate, follows up on every open item, and notices when quantities, prices, or stock do not add up before they become a problem.
You will work closely with the Merchandising team and with other team to keep products available, correctly listed, and ready for launch on time.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys structured, recurring work with clear ownership and wants to understand how a consumer brand manages its products from supplier to customer.
Key Responsibilities
Purchase Orders & Deliveries
- Process and verify purchase orders (PO) and delivery orders (DO): create and send POs to suppliers, input incoming DOs, and check received quantities against delivery notes, coordinating with suppliers on any discrepancies.
- Follow up on supplier deliveries and shipment schedules, and monitor back orders (BO), outstanding POs, payments, and tax invoice updates in coordination with Finance.
Stock & Marketplace
- Monitor stock levels in the system to flag low-stock, non-moving, or inactive products and errors in master product data, and take corrective action.
- Manage marketplace listings through the omnichannel platform (active/inactive status, photos, descriptions, quantities, categories) and maintain the weekly catalog, price updates, clearance, and bundle promotions.
Product Development & Launches
- Support product development: keep the Trello board updated, follow up and review samples, provide feedback to suppliers, and join weekly Merchandising x Design meetings.
- Coordinate product launches: prepare launch briefs, request product descriptions and photos from the Content team, follow up designs with Creative, and ensure hangtags, accessories, and packaging are ready on time.
Returns & Reporting
- Manage monthly returns: recap return data, coordinate with Ops and suppliers, and process return shipments and return POs.
- Prepare weekly meeting materials (PPT, repeat-order plan, returns recap, development updates, clearance proposals) and follow through on action items.
Coordination & Periodic Reviews
- Handle daily coordination via internal and supplier group chats, and resolve cases raised by Finance, Ops, CS, and DC.
- Conduct periodic checks and reviews (showroom products, sample rack clearance, Google Drive files) and take part in seasonal development (Christmas, Ramadan), catalog and packaging reviews, and product quality tests such as towel tests.
Requirements
Personal Qualities
We are looking for someone who is:
- Detail-oriented and accurate, especially with quantities, prices, and product data
- A clear communicator and coordinator, able to work with suppliers and cross-functional teams (Finance, Ops, CS, Content, Design)
- Well-organized, proactive in following up, and able to manage multiple recurring deadlines
Knowledge & Skills
The candidate should be:
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets and PowerPoint
- Comfortable using Trello and Google Drive
Note: The candidate does not need prior experience with a specific omnichannel platform or inventory system. However, they should be comfortable learning the company's systems and keeping product data accurate in them.
Preferred Background
- Bachelor's (S1) or Diploma (D3) degree in Business, Management, Marketing, Textile/Fashion, or a related field.
