Deskripsi pekerjaan Mentor World Scholar's Cup (Debate & Writing) PT Jnana Citta Nusantara
The Mentor World Scholar's Cup (Debate & Writing) role is a part-time, on-site position based in Denpasar. The mentor will guide students in preparing for World Scholar’s Cup debate and writing events, including coaching on argumentation, speech delivery, and essay composition. Daily tasks include planning and leading practice sessions, providing individualized feedback on students’ debate performance and written work, and designing exercises to strengthen research, critical thinking, and collaboration skills. The mentor will also help students understand competition rules, develop strategies for team rounds, and build confidence in public speaking and creative writing. Additional responsibilities may include coordinating practice schedules, maintaining progress records, and communicating with students and guardians about learning goals and outcomes.
Qualifications
Strong skills in debating, argumentation, and public speaking, with the ability to coach students in structured, competitive debate formats.
Demonstrated ability in academic and creative writing, including essay organization, clarity of expression, and storytelling techniques.
Experience mentoring or teaching students, preferably in debate clubs, writing programs, or competition-focused environments.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a supportive, student-centered approach and the ability to work with diverse learners.
Familiarity with the World Scholar’s Cup or similar international academic competitions is an advantage.
Strong organizational skills to plan sessions, manage time effectively, and track student progress toward competition readiness.
Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Communication, International Relations, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
Proficiency in English, both spoken and written; additional language skills are a plus.
