Mechanical Engineer (Planner) – English Speaker

PT Sinoma is seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineer (Maintenance Planner) to support maintenance planning and scheduling activities within cement plant operations. This role combines both office-based planning and field-based activities, where the candidate is required to regularly visit site areas to understand equipment condition, maintenance scope, and operational requirements before preparing accurate maintenance plans.

The position will involve close coordination with maintenance, operation, and engineering teams to ensure effective planning, execution readiness, and plant reliability.

Responsibilities

• Develop preventive maintenance (PM) plans and detailed maintenance schedules.
• Conduct field/site visits to understand equipment condition and maintenance scope before planning activities.
• Prepare weekly and monthly maintenance planning and job scheduling.
• Coordinate and align work orders with maintenance, operation, and engineering teams.
• Ensure all planned maintenance activities are properly scoped, prioritized, and executable.
• Support shutdown/turnaround planning including job list preparation, resource planning, and scheduling coordination.
• Monitor and track maintenance job progress, backlog, and completion status.
• Ensure availability of manpower, tools, and materials required for planned maintenance activities.
• Review and validate maintenance requests based on actual site conditions.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance plans, schedules, and reports.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors for planned maintenance execution.
• Ensure all planning activities comply with HSE standards and company SOP.
• Analyze maintenance history to improve planning accuracy and equipment reliability.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in maintenance planning and plant performance.
