Mechanical and Control Engineer

We are seeking a Mechanical and Control Engineer to join our team in Tamalanrea, Makassar, South Sulawesi. This position is crucial for the development of projects and the maintenance of the infrastructure we manage. The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the design, installation, and maintenance of mechanical and control systems used in various projects. This work involves analyzing technical requirements, developing designs, coordinating with the project team, and monitoring equipment performance. Furthermore, this position requires strong communication with customers to ensure satisfaction and compliance with specifications. Fast and accurate problem solving and the ability to work in a team are essential responsibilities of this position.

Your daily experience will include: working with the chemistry team to implement newly developed formulae in our factory, running material assessments on quality of the outputted bioplastics, operating the machinery to manufacture sample batches for clients, running maintenance, liaising with our partners to ensure a high quality production pipeline and independently developing optimisations to our factory design.

You won’t be alone - you’ll have hands-on training provided by our team and will be able to liaise with them for further advice across the duration of your contract, providing plenty of scope for learning.

We are seeking candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a related field is an added advantage. Candidates should possess skills in mechanical design, machine maintenance, and be proficient in software such as AutoCAD and Microsoft Office. Strong communication skills, teamwork, and Excel and Word proficiency are also required. We welcome those who wish to grow with us and contribute to the company's strategic projects.

Training, team communication and international customer engagement is in English. Verbal and written English is essential to this role.
