Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Mandarin Translator role based in Jakarta, Indonesia. The Mandarin Translator will be responsible for translating documents, presentations, product information, and business communications between Mandarin and Indonesian/English, ensuring accuracy and cultural appropriateness. Daily tasks include supporting communication between local teams and Mandarin-speaking partners, interpreting during meetings or calls, and assisting with written correspondence. The role also involves collaborating with sales, marketing, and operations teams to ensure clear and timely information flow, maintaining terminology consistency, and updating glossaries or translation databases. The translator is expected to work closely with cross-functional colleagues, meet deadlines, and handle sensitive business information with confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Mandarin and Indonesian, with good English communication skills for written and verbal translation.
• Demonstrated experience in translating business, technical, or commercial documents with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to interpret in real-time during meetings, presentations, and calls, ensuring clear understanding among all parties.
• Familiarity with mobile phone, accessories, or consumer electronics terminology is highly beneficial.
• Excellent organizational skills, including time management, prioritization, and the ability to handle multiple translation requests.
• Comfort working on-site in a fast-paced environment and collaborating with diverse teams across sales, marketing, and operations.
• Relevant educational background in languages, translation, communication, or a related field; prior experience in a similar role is an advantage.
• Willing to travel for business trip
