Position: Mandarin Translator (Data Center Site)

Location: Project Site (Data Center) – Indonesia

Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Responsibilities

• Provide accurate verbal interpretation between Mandarin, Bahasa Indonesia, and English during meetings, site inspections, toolbox meetings, and daily operations.
• Translate technical documents, including work instructions, SOPs, reports, RFIs, method statements, meeting minutes, and project correspondence.
• Facilitate smooth communication between the Chinese project team, local employees, subcontractors, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Support Project Managers, Engineers, and Site Supervisors during construction, commissioning, testing, and operation activities.
• Attend daily coordination meetings and ensure all technical information is translated accurately and promptly.
• Assist with project documentation, filing, and administrative coordination when required.
• Maintain confidentiality of company and project information.
• Perform other translation and coordination duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Chinese Language, Translation, Linguistics, or any related field.
• Fluent in Mandarin and Bahasa Indonesia (spoken and written); English proficiency is an advantage.
• Minimum HSK Level 5 or equivalent is preferred.
• At least 1–2 years of experience as a Mandarin Translator or Interpreter, preferably in Data Center, Construction, MEP, Electrical, HVAC, or Engineering projects.
• Familiarity with engineering and construction terminology is a strong advantage.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and coordination skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Able to work in a fast-paced project environment and under pressure.
• Willing to be placed at a Data Center Project Site and travel when required. These responsibilities align with common requirements for translator/coordinator roles supporting data center engineering projects.
