TAIWAN MANDARIN TUTOR — TOCFL PREPARATION
Lister is currently looking for passionate and experienced Taiwan Mandarin Tutors to join our growing tutor community.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You will teach Taiwan Mandarin to students who are preparing for study, work, travel, or the TOCFL (Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language).
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct engaging and structured Taiwan Mandarin lessons.
- Prepare students for TOCFL according to their target level.
- Teach Mandarin speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
- Help students improve their Traditional Chinese character recognition and usage.
- Provide explanations, practice, and feedback based on students' learning needs.
- Use and adapt learning materials provided by Lister.
- Track students' learning progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain professional communication and commitment to assigned classes.
REQUIREMENTS
- Proficient in Mandarin Chinese and Traditional Chinese (繁體中文).
- Familiar with Taiwan Mandarin and Taiwanese language usage.
- Strong understanding of Traditional Chinese characters.
- Previous experience teaching Mandarin is preferred.
- Experience preparing students for TOCFL is highly preferred.
- TOCFL certification or other relevant Mandarin language certification is a plus.
- Able to teach students from beginner to advanced levels.
- Patient, communicative, and able to explain concepts clearly.
- Responsible and committed to the agreed teaching schedule.
- Comfortable teaching online.
