Role Description this is a full-time, the Legal Manager is responsible for leading and developing KontrakHukum's Legal Associate team in delivering technology-enabled legal services to SME clients. This role ensures the legal work product (contracts, legal documents, consultations) produced by the team is consistent, accurate, and meets KontrakHukum's standards, while serving as the link between the Legal Associate team, management, and cross-functional teams (product, marketing, and customer success). The Legal Manager will also advise clients on corporate, commercial, regulatory, and compliance matters, mainly those related to contracts and company establishment. The position also requires identifying legal risks and recommending commercially practical solutions aligned with clients’ objectives. In addition, the Legal Manager will support the development of technology-driven legal solutions, including AI-based tools for legal services provided to clients, including but not limited to shareholder meetings (RUPS) and contracts.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law (S.H.) from an accredited university; a Master’s degree (M.Kn. or LL.M.) is a strong advantage.
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of relevant legal experience, with strong exposure to business licensing (OSS RBA, KBLI), notary processes, entity establishment, and commercial contract drafting.
- End-to-End Business Entity Establishment: In-depth knowledge and hands-on capability in managing the complete process of establishing business entities in Indonesia (PT PMDN, PT PMA, CV, Foundations), capital structure setups, and shareholder legalities.
- Licensing & KBLI Proficiency: Solid understanding of Indonesian corporate law, KBLI business classifications, Risk-Based OSS licensing, and sectoral regulatory frameworks.
- Contracting & Notary Skills: Advanced experience in drafting and negotiating commercial partnership agreements and managing notary procedures (Deeds, RUPS, corporate restructuring).
- English Language Skills: Fluent in English (both written and spoken) for drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, and participating in business discussions.
- Public Speaking & Communication: Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, with proven capability to act as a public speaker, webinar host, or official company representative.
- Research & Analytical Skills: Strong legal research skills with the ability to prepare clear legal opinions and deliver practical legal solutions.
