Qualifications:
- Minimum of Bachelor of Law degree from a reputable university in Indonesia, with solid academic credentials. (MUST)
- At least four years of experience working in a reputable law firm or in-house legal department in Indonesia. (MUST)
- Experience in business law, corporate law or commercial & compliance law. (MUST)
- Meaningful exposures to wholesale distribution, retail, FMCG, tobacco, or alcoholic beverages sector, in Indonesia. (MUST)
- Good command of English (both written and oral).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to establish strong working relationships with business stakeholders.
- Sound business judgment and ability to analyze situations and information.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certificate PERADI (MUST).
- Meaningful experience in litigation processes (civil and criminal) or dispute resolution processes.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, negotiate, and revise legal documents (e.g., trade agreements, partnership agreements, formal letters, internal policy documents, and amendments/addendums), as well as provide high-quality advice and inputs to the management concerning such legal documents, to safeguard the Group’s interests.
- Provide sound and timely legal counsel to the management on relevant legal topics, including but not limited to trade regulations, industry regulations, labor law, partnership documents, financing documents, and dispute resolutions.
- Proactively evaluate regulations, policies, and legal practices relevant to the Group’s operation, and recommend and implement necessary actions to mitigate the risk of disputes and ensure compliance with prevailing regulations.
- Advise the management on industrial relations matters, including but not limited to employee disputes, internal communications, employee relations, grievances, and termination.
- Manage the Group’s legal actions and, where appropriate, collaborate with external counsels or stakeholders to ensure the success of such actions.
- Maintain proper custody of the Group’s legal documents or information, manage periodical updates, reviews, amendments, or renewals of such documents, and manage appropriate fulfillment of information requests from stakeholders.
