Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Learning & Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive learning and development programs that align with our organizational goals and support the professional growth of our employees across various departments, including agricultural operations, manufacturing, logistics, and administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of a state-of-the-art training center to support the learning needs of employees across various departments.
- Collaborate with departmental heads and HR to identify training needs and develop learning objectives that support individual and organizational goals.
- Design, implement, and evaluate training programs, workshops, and initiatives to enhance employee skills, knowledge, and performance.
- Utilize a variety of instructional techniques and delivery methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and preferences.
- Develop and maintain learning resources, including e-learning modules, manuals, guides, and other educational materials.
- Partner with external vendors, consultants, and subject matter experts to deliver specialized training as needed.
- Monitor and assess training effectiveness through feedback mechanisms, performance metrics, and employee engagement surveys.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in learning and development.
- Act as a mentor and coach to employees, providing guidance and support for career development and advancement opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in learning and development, preferably in agricultural or manufacturing industries.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and training evaluation techniques.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and other relevant software applications.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to sugar cane plantations and other company locations as needed.
