Job Description:
• Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily land transportation operations, including dispatching, routing, scheduling, loading, delivery, and pickup activities.
• Manage and oversee transportation operations for existing projects and new/coming projects, ensuring operational readiness from the planning and implementation stage.
• Support the setup and mobilization of new transportation projects, including manpower, fleet requirements, route planning, vendor/subcontractor coordination, operational procedures, and project timelines.
• Review existing transportation projects and identify opportunities to improve service quality, operational efficiency, fleet utilization, and cost effectiveness.
• Ensure on-time delivery and pickup performance, while minimizing delays, failed deliveries, and other operational disruptions.
• Plan and monitor vehicle allocation, fleet utilization, driver assignments, and maintenance schedules to maximize operational efficiency.
• Lead, supervise, and evaluate drivers, dispatchers, and operational staff, including work allocation, attendance, performance monitoring, and discipline.
• Coordinate closely with customers, warehouse teams, drivers, vendors/subcontractors, and internal departments to ensure smooth transportation operations.
• Monitor project requirements and ensure sufficient fleet, manpower, equipment, and operational resources are available to meet customer needs.
• Handle and resolve delivery issues, customer complaints, vehicle breakdowns, driver issues, and other operational challenges promptly and effectively.
• Monitor transportation costs, including fuel consumption, toll fees, driver costs, maintenance, and subcontractor costs, and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
• Conduct route planning and optimization to improve delivery efficiency, reduce travel time, and control transportation costs.
• Ensure proper utilization and condition of company vehicles and other transportation resources.
• Ensure transportation activities comply with company SOPs, customer requirements, transportation regulations, safety standards, and applicable legal requirements.
• Establish and monitor operational SOPs, workflows, and control procedures for existing and newly launched projects.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports, including delivery performance, fleet utilization, cost, fuel consumption, productivity, and other relevant KPIs.
• Analyze operational data and provide recommendations to improve productivity, service quality, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
• Proactively identify operational risks and develop appropriate contingency plans to minimize disruptions.
• Work closely with the Sales/Business Development team during the project bidding and implementation stage to assess operational feasibility and resource requirements.
• Support management in evaluating project profitability, operational costs, fleet requirements, and manpower requirements before project commencement.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned by management.
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation Management, Business Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in land transportation, fleet operations, logistics, or related industries, with at least 1 year in a supervisory/team-lead position preferred.
• Proven experience in setting up, launching, or taking over existing transportation projects, including preparation of manpower, fleet, routes, vendors, SOPs, and operational processes.
• Experience handling new/coming projects from the preparation stage through operational implementation is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of land transportation operations, fleet management, route planning, dispatching, and delivery operations.
• Experience managing multiple transportation projects, customers, or operational areas simultaneously is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of transportation costs, fuel consumption, fleet utilization, route optimization, and operational budgeting.
• Good understanding of transportation regulations, safety standards, vehicle compliance, and operational requirements in Indonesia.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate, evaluate, and discipline drivers and operational teams.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, especially in handling urgent operational issues and transportation disruptions.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills with customers, drivers, vendors, warehouse teams, and internal departments.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze operational KPIs, transportation costs, fleet performance, and project profitability.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience using TMS (Transportation Management System), GPS/fleet tracking systems, or other logistics management systems is a plus.
• Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and perform effectively in a fast-paced and target-oriented environment.
• Willing to work flexible hours when required to support transportation operations and project implementation.
• English proficiency is a must, both written and verbal.
• Strong ownership, leadership, discipline, and result-oriented mindset.
