Kindergarten Teacher

Cherish Academy, a Christian inclusive school in PIK 2 is looking for a warm, initiative-driven Special Needs Teacher to support students across all grade levels. What You'll Be Doing

• Supporting the learning and development of students with special needs, with placement across any grade level (Early Childhood through higher grades) based on school needs.
• Adapting teaching approaches, materials, and pacing to fit each child's individual learning profile.
• Working alongside classroom teachers and/or shadow teachers to ensure consistent, effective support for each student.
• Creating a learning environment where every child feels safe, understood, and encouraged to participate.
• Communicating regularly with parents and the school team on each student's progress and needs.
• Taking initiative to protect children's safety and wellbeing at all times.
• Adapting quickly to different classrooms, age groups, and student needs as placement requires.
• Joining in on school activities, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.

What We're Looking For

1. Comfortable communicating in English (conversational level is great, you don't need to be flawless, just confident).
2. A Psychology graduate, or from another field that supports special needs/inclusive education.
3. Prior experience teaching or supporting children with special needs (across any age group) is required.
4. Genuinely open to working within a Christian school environment (Cherish Academy is a Christian inclusive school).
5. A natural sense of initiative when it comes to keeping kids safe and engaged in learning.
6. Able to stay flexible and calm in a fast-changing, dynamic classroom setting.
7. Open to being placed across different classes/grade levels as needed by the school.
8. Willing to be based at our PIK 2 location.
