Miss Michelle Learning House is a learning centre founded in 2018, providing international-standard academic enrichment for Kindergarten and Primary students.
We are looking for a passionate and nurturing Kindergarten Reading Teacher – Phonics to help young learners develop strong foundational literacy skills through engaging and interactive learning experiences. You will play an important role in building students' phonics awareness, reading mastery, and early language development in a fun and supportive learning environment.
The ideal candidate communicates confidently in English, enjoys working with young children, and is committed to creating meaningful learning experiences that foster both academic and personal growth.
Job Description
- Teach Reading and Phonics to Kindergarten students that aligns with the center’s curriculum
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, interactive, and age-appropriate lessons
- Support students in developing foundational phonics, reading, and early literacy skills
- Monitor students' learning progress and provide appropriate support based on individual learning needs
- Create creative teaching materials, worksheets, and hands-on classroom activities suitable for students' developmental levels
- Communicate regularly with parents by providing student progress updates and written feedback
- Build a positive, caring, and enjoyable classroom environment that encourages confidence and a love for reading
- Collaborate with fellow teachers to develop and continuously improve learning programs
- Support curriculum development and center activities as needed
- Teach 5 days a week from 9.30 am to 6.30 pm
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree (S1), preferably in Early Childhood Education, English Education, English Literature, Education, or a related field
- Minimum 1 year of teaching experience with Kindergarten or early childhood students is preferred
- Experience teaching Reading and/or Phonics is highly preferred
- Strong English proficiency is a must, both written and spoken
- Strong understanding of phonics and early literacy development
- Able to prepare effective lesson plans and engaging classroom activities
- Passionate about working with young children and supporting their academic development
- Patient, caring, energetic, and creative in delivering lessons
- Strong communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills
- Proactive, collaborative, and open to feedback
- Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, discipline, and willingness to learn
- Willing to teach face to face and online (via Zoom/Google Meet) when necessary
- Willing to be placed in West Jakarta
