Position: Junior PM - Hotel Project (MEP Background)

Overview

We are seeking a highly qualified professional for the position of Junior Project Manager (MEP Background) who will be involved in hotel development projects from the initial planning stage through construction execution. This role requires a strong technical background, strategic thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary building works.

Responsibilities

Planning Phase

• Actively involved in the project from initiation, planning, design coordination, through construction preparation.
• Review and coordinate Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) aspects of the project and ICT / Low Current Systems.
• Coordinate all related engineering interfaces and composite coordination with other disciplines, including Architecture, Interior Design, Structural Works, and other related building disciplines.
• Review every aspect of the design to ensure compliance with established standards, guidelines, and project requirements.
• Provide effective and efficient technical solutions to optimize the overall design in terms of construction cost efficiency, building operational efficiency, and long-term maintenance considerations.
• Conduct design evaluations and value engineering without compromising quality and building standards.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, vendors, hotel operators, and other related parties.
• Ensure all works comply with applicable technical standards and regulations.

Construction Phase

• Review and validate all tender documents.
• Review all work method statements proposed by contractors, both during tender submissions and on-site construction execution.
• Understand and implement QA & QC procedures for all project works.
• Ensure all project documentation is accurate, valid, complete, and aligned with actual site execution.
• Actively coordinate with all project stakeholders to ensure project quality, timeline, and execution meet established targets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience, particularly in hospitality/hotel projects.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems and ICT systems. Additional knowledge in architecture, interior design, and structural works will be an advantage.
• Experience in 3-star hotel projects and above, international chain hotel projects will be an advantage.
• Strong technical capabilities in technical calculations, design analysis, value engineering, and technical solution development.
