We are looking for a Junior Java Developer with a strong willingness to learn and grow in the Banking / Financial Services industry. If you have experience building Java-based applications and want to be involved in challenging projects within the financial sector, this opportunity is for you!
Job Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications based on business requirements.
- Build and enhance user interfaces using JavaFX.
- Develop front-end features and integrations using JavaScript as required by the application.
- Perform debugging and troubleshooting to ensure optimal system performance.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as Business Analysts, QA, and Infrastructure throughout the development lifecycle.
- Prepare technical documentation related to system development and enhancements.
- Improve existing systems to increase efficiency, scalability, and stability.
- Support application deployment and post-implementation monitoring.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 1 year of experience as a Java Developer / Software Engineer / Backend Developer.
- Prior working experience in the Banking / Financial Services industry.
- Strong knowledge of Java and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
- Experience using JavaFX for desktop application development.
- Familiarity with JavaScript for front-end or web integration purposes.
- Knowledge of Java frameworks such as Spring / Spring Boot
- Familiarity with databases such as MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or similar.
- Understanding of API integration (REST / SOAP) is a plus.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
