Job description:
- Inspect prototype samples in terms of measurements, patterns, stitching, and garment construction.
- Work closely with designers to ensure prototype samples meet design intent and quality standards.
- Conduct product testing and evaluation to minimize defects before samples are approved as production references.
- Ensure size consistency and compliance with established sizing standards.
- Follow up with subcontractors/suppliers to ensure timely sample submission.
- Regularly monitor and track the development status of samples for each released style/article.
- Report sample development progress directly to the Sample Development PIC.
Job requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Fashion Design, Garment Technology, or a related field
- Experience in sample development, garment fitting, or quality control is preferred
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, sizing standards, and sewing techniques
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Able to interpret design sketches, technical drawings, and specifications
- Good communication and coordination skills, especially with designers and suppliers
- Able to manage multiple samples and meet tight deadlines
- Familiar with apparel production processes and timelines
