Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Cook to help us create an exceptional brunch experience. This role requires a deep understanding of Indonesian cuisine and creative menu development. The ideal candidate will bring innovation while preserving authenticity, maintain high food quality and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation & Quality Control: Prepare dishes to a high standard with consistency and attention to portioning. Adapt to feedback, special requests, and changing conditions during service.
Inventory & Supply Management: Manage requisitions, receive and store stock using FIFO, monitor expiry dates, and maintain proper stock levels. Coordinate with Purchasing and report shortages or issues promptly.
Hygiene, Safety & Compliance: Ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and adherence to food safety standards (e.g., HACCP). Maintain a safe and compliant kitchen environment at all times.
Team Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service. Communicate clearly and respond effectively to challenges or changes.
Reporting & Operational Support: Submit daily reports, track waste, conduct audits, and use tools like Excel for basic kitchen admin. Support operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
Requirements
Minimum of 2-3 years experience in a Cook role, preferably within a restaurant specialising in Indonesian cuisine.
Strong knowledge of Indonesian culinary traditions and techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as per business needs.
