On behalf of one of its clients, the French Chamber of Commerce is looking for a:
Junior Accountant (Consultant)
Our client is a local Corporate Service Provider & Registered Filing Agent in Singapore. They offer in-house services such
as company incorporation, business registration & bank account opening, registered office address, business address or related services, accounting, bank, tax, legal, HR (visa, payroll) etc.
They're looking for a Junior Consultant who will be involved in the day-to-day financial and general business management and have the opportunity to act as the outsourced CFO for some of clients established in Singapore, providing guidance and advice on finance,
accounting and audit related areas.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Junior Consultant will be in charge of a portfolio of clients for which services below will be provided. He /she will provide ongoing financial and accounting services to clients with respect to their Singaporean operations, including financial reporting, controlling, budgeting, cash flow management, year-end closing, payroll & tax filings.
The Junior Consultant will assist clients in organizational, management, administrative and other functional aspects of establishing their operations, including: accounting set up, compliance, employment, tax, insurance, and other matters.
- Book-keeping, banking operations and Tax services
- Perform the bookkeeping duties on behalf of clients, including updating and verification of the general ledgers, bank reconciliation, accounts receivable and payable, payroll etc.- Maintenance of bank accounts- Develop and maintain timely and accurate monthly financial and management reports for each client- Prepare quarterly GST, corporate tax and withholding tax matter and submission for clients- Year-end closing and provide assistance for annual statutory audits
- HR services
- Run payroll on behalf of clients to ensure that employees are paid in a timely and accurate manner- Prepare CPF submission
Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, or Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, in Finance/Accountancy or its equivalent in professional qualifications (e.g. ACCA / CA / CPA)
- Excellent technical skills in accounting – Between 1 to 5 years of hands on experience in accountancy, bookkeeping, trial balance, monthly reporting preparation, Singaporean GAAP and payroll. Experience in consolidation is preferable
- Good knowledge of IFRS and SFRS accounting requirements, IRAS legislation, Employment Act and CPF Act and other relevant regulations is preferred
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel and Word applications)
- Knowledge of the accounting software XERO and QUICKBOOKS, SAP is a plus
- English fluent, French is a plus (“nice to have” but not compulsory) to liaise with the clients
- Pleasant personality with strong interpersonal skills and able to interface with all levels, internally and externally, in a professional and responsive manner
- Strong analytical, business judgment, communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and team work skills
- Hands-on attitude and capable of working autonomously in the first instance and develop others
- Effective problem solving skills and demonstrated ability to set priorities and function independently to meet tight project deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Able to adhere to strict reporting timelines with good quality of deliverables. Paying attention to details.
