IT Programmer

Job Description

• Develop and implement new HR system modules based on user requirements for both application and database (using Next.js and PostgreSQL).
• Enhance and maintain existing HR modules to improve performance, usability, and reliability
• Perform, track and record bug fixing, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for production issues.
• Perform functional, regression, and basic integration testing for HR system modules
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure quality delivery.
• Ensure application security, data privacy, and compliance with internal policies.
• Prepare technical documentation and support system handover and knowledge sharing.
• Design, execute, and document test cases for new, enhanced, and existing functionalities based on functional and business requirements
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with users when required

Requirements

• At least 2+ years of experience as Programmer Developer
• Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, Next.js, and Python
• Having experience in developing using CodeIgniter 4, developing internal HR systems, and conducting automated testing will be an advantage
• Solid understanding of PostgreSQL, including schema design and query optimization
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and integrating frontend with backend services
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., GitLab)
• Understanding of web security best practices and data protection
• Knowledge of performance optimization and scalability for web applications Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies using projec management tools like Jira or Notion to track tasks, sprints, and issues
• Proficiency in using AI-assisted development tools (e.g. Cursor, Claude, etc.) to accelerate coding, debugging, and unit testing
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Good communication skills to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience in conducting data migration
