Job Description:
Configuring Manage and installing various Database (e.g., SQL Server, DB2, Oracle, Postgre, etc). Performing Database maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations.
- Identifies database requirements, analyzing and evaluating existing systems and designing proposed database systems.
- Maintains database healthiness and do the database clean up regularly by daily monitoring and provide the remediation action plan for any performance issue on the database level.
- Maintains multiple database performance by calculating optimum values for database parameters; implementing new releases; completing maintenance requirements.
- Works as part of a project team to coordinate database development and determine project scope and limitations.
- Identifies and evaluate industry trends in database systems.
- upports and collaborates with core system vendor for any issue related to the database
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with IT major in Information System or Information Technology
- At least 3 years’ experience in Database Administrator role
- Advance knowledge of Database concept, Database Design and RDBMS
- Must have a knowledge and skill of MS SQL Server. DB2, Oracle and other RDBMS platform is an advantage
- Advance knowledge of Maintain and Administering of MS SQL Server:
- Availability & Reliability: Backup Restore, Patch Update, Version Migration
- Security: login/user/schema/roles and priviledge of login/user
- Structure Query Language (SQL), PL/SQL, Database Object: store proc, functions, etc
- Good knowledge of MS SQL Server Database Infrastructure: Datafile, trans log, DB Services (DB engine services, Db Features Services), Instance Config (startup parameter, memory management, etc), High Availability (log shipping, replication and failover clustering)
