IT & Digital Solutions Specialist

Role Overview

We’re excited to expand our team and are looking for talented, motivated professionals to join AE Chartering, our sister company in Indonesia. This is a hands-on, end-to-end technology role for a tech enthusiast who thrives on building custom software, experimenting with modern AI workflows, and solving technical challenges.

Based in Jakarta, you will oversee the development of our in-house Maritime CRM and operational databases, lead AI-driven process automation, manage office IT infrastructure locally and remotely with our HQ , and elevate our group's digital media assets. Also liaise with external IT vendors in according any technical support, troubleshoot IT issues, and manage technology-related projects, ensuring effective service delivery and smooth business operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Software Development & Maritime CRM

• Design, build, and maintain an internal, custom Maritime CRM & Operations Database tailored for shipbroking and ship agency workflows (tracking client accounts, vessel databases, fixture logs, and cargo records).

• Migrate existing operational data and processes from third-party systems into the company’s internal proprietary platform.

• Continuously refine database features, query performance, and user interfaces based on feedback from commercial and operations teams in Jakarta and Singapore.

2. AI Integration & Process Automation

• Explore, evaluate, and implement practical AI tools and automated workflows (e.g., automated email parsing, data extraction from port logs/SOFs, document processing, intelligent market tracking).

• Proactively identify opportunities to leverage emerging AI models and frameworks to streamline productivity across shipbroking, agency operations, and administrative functions group-wide.

3. Hardware, Network & Infrastructure Support (Jakarta & HQ Support)

• Serve as the primary IT contact for day-to-day hardware troubleshooting (PCs, laptops, printers) and network/router management.

• Provide remote IT, system setup, and troubleshooting support for team members across locations, including HQ.

• Manage user accounts, email administration (Microsoft 365 / Google Workspace), cloud storage, network security, data backups, and domain hosting across the group.

4. Website & Digital Media Management

• Manage, update, and optimize the company website (content updates, layout refinements, performance, and SEO).

• Design and beautify corporate media assets across the group, including company profile documents, pitch decks, presentation templates, and digital marketing collateral.

Key Requirements :

• Work Experience min. 3 year in IT & Digital Solution .

• Passion for Technology: A deep, genuine passion for technology, coding, self-learning, and exploring emerging digital tools, software trends, and AI advancements.

• Technical Background: Degree or diploma in relevant is preferred but not mandatory . Practical experience, technical skills, problem solving and also proven of project outcomes are strong recommended .

• Software & Database Skills: Hands-on experience in full-stack web/software development (e.g., Python, JavaScript, React, Node.js, SQL/PostgreSQL, or modern low-code/no-code application frameworks) and relational database design.

• AI & Automation Knowledge: Practical experience integrating AI APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, LLM frameworks) or automation platforms (e.g., Make, n8n, Zapier) to automate complex daily workflows. AI knowledge - familiar with Claude AI or other AI Development Apps

• IT Infrastructure Support: Strong hands-on knowledge of PC/laptop hardware troubleshooting, office networking (routers, Wi-Fi, LANs), OS administration, and cloud productivity platforms.

• Design & Digital Media: Experience maintaining websites (WordPress or custom web frameworks) and creating sleek, professional presentation graphics using tools like Canva, Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, or PowerPoint.

• Languages: Business fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English (written and spoken) to liaise effectively with local team members and HQ management.

• Mindset & Working Style: Highly resourceful, self-motivated, and structured, with a problem-solving mindset and the ability to translate business needs into functional tech and design solutions independently.
