What Will You Do
- Assess IoT requirements and translate them into hardware and system requirements.
- Design and develop hardware for IoT devices, including sensors, power systems, communication interfaces, and embedded systems.
- Select appropriate electronic components, sensors, modules, and communication technologies based on system requirements.
- Develop schematics, PCB designs, prototypes, and hardware revisions.
- Integrate sensors, actuators, communication modules, and other hardware components into IoT devices.
- Perform hardware testing, validation, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure reliability and performance.
- Support device deployment, commissioning, and field troubleshooting.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including schematics, BOM, hardware specifications, and test reports.
- Collaborate with firmware/software engineers, solution teams, project managers, and field teams.
- Continuously improve hardware design, reliability, power efficiency, manufacturability, and cost.
What Will You Need
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in electronic hardware design, embedded hardware, or IoT product development.
- Strong understanding of analog and digital electronics, circuit design, and embedded hardware architecture.
- Experience designing IoT hardware, including sensor interfaces, embedded controllers, communication interfaces, and power systems.
- Hands-on experience in schematic design, PCB layout, component selection, routing, and PCB design review.
- Strong understanding of power supply, battery management, charging circuits, voltage regulation, power optimization, and hardware protection such as ESD, surge, reverse polarity, overvoltage, and overcurrent protection.
- Experience with PCB prototyping, board bring-up, hardware validation, debugging, and design revision.
- Experience in mechanical CAD and 3D product design, including enclosure, mounting mechanisms, component integration, and manufacturing considerations.
- Proficient in PCB design tools particularly using KiCad.
- Proficient in CAD/3D design tools such as Inventor, AutoCAD, or similar.
- Proficient in using electronic measurement and debugging equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and power supplies.
- Ability to prepare and maintain technical documentation, including schematics, PCB files, BOM, Gerber files, CAD drawings, 3D models, specifications, and test reports.
- Strong hardware troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Continuous learner with the ability to adapt to new hardware and product design technologies.
