REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in iOS development with strong exposure to production support and maintenance.
- Strong expertise in Swift and deep understanding of the iOS SDK and Apple frameworks (UIKit and/or SwiftUI).
- Proven experience handling production incidents, crash investigations, and urgent hotfix deployment.
- Strong understanding of iOS application lifecycle, threading, concurrency (GCD / async await), and memory management (ARC).
- Experience analyzing crash reports, thread states, memory leaks, and performance bottlenecks.
- Experience analyzing application metrics, crash data, and user feedback via App Store Connect.
- Experience working with monitoring tools, crash reporting platforms, and analytics dashboards.
- Solid understanding of REST API integration, network error handling, and backend communication troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of mobile application security best practices (e.g., secure storage using Keychain, HTTPS enforcement, certificate validation).
- Experience managing distribution certificates, provisioning profiles, signing configurations, and release processes to the Apple App Store.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Handle maintenance activities across multiple iOS projects. - Deliver hotfixes for critical production issues with minimal user impact.
- Prioritize and manage incidents based on defined SLA levels (L0, L1, etc.).
- Ensure production incident resolution meets agreed MTTR (Mean Time To Recovery) targets.
- Provide rapid response for critical incidents, including outside working hours when required.
- Perform detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA), define workarounds, and implement permanent corrective and preventive actions.
- Execute preventive initiatives to maintain and improve application stability, crash free rate, memory usage efficiency, and responsiveness.
- Analyze crash reports, thread states, and performance diagnostics using Xcode tools and crash reporting platforms.
- Conduct continuous application and system monitoring using analytics and Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools.
- Review system performance including CPU usage, memory footprint, rendering performance, and network behavior, and provide structured technical improvement recommendations.
- Manage and systematically reduce technical debt through refactoring, modular improvements, and architectural cleanup.
- Ensure dependency updates, iOS SDK compatibility, and compliance with Apple platform policies and security standards.
- Maintain and improve application performance and rating stability on the Apple App Store.
- Manage distribution certificates, provisioning profiles, signing configurations, and App Store deployment processes to ensure uninterrupted service.
- Ensure application security compliance with industry best practices (e.g., OWASP Mobile standards, secure storage, HTTPS enforcement, Keychain usage).
