This is for an internship position, you will work remotely full-time from home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with developers, engineers, and product teams to gather technical information for software documentation.
- Write, edit, and maintain user manuals, installation guides, FAQs, release notes, and other documentation for internal and external users.
- Create API documentation and ensure its accuracy and clarity.
- Assist in organizing and structuring technical content for ease of use and consistency.
- Review and revise documentation based on feedback from team members and users.
- Learn and understand software functionality to effectively communicate technical concepts to a wide audience.
- Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and aligns with the latest software updates and releases.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, English, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Less than 1 year of experience in technical writing is acceptable, preferably in software or IT.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic understanding of software development processes, such as Agile or DevOps, is a plus.
- Familiarity with markup languages (e.g., HTML, Markdown) or documentation tools (e.g., Confluence, Git).
- Ability to quickly learn and understand complex technical concepts and communicate them in simple, user-friendly terms.
- Attention to detail and a passion for clear, concise writing.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks.
