Job Summary
The Cloud Engineer Intern will assist the Cloud Engineering team in maintaining, monitoring, and supporting cloud infrastructure. This role provides hands-on experience with virtualization, Linux systems, networking, cloud platforms, and IT infrastructure while working alongside experienced cloud engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring cloud infrastructure and server performance.
- Support the deployment and configuration of virtual machines.
- Help troubleshoot basic infrastructure, network, and operating system issues.
- Perform routine system health checks and monitoring.
- Assist with server provisioning, installation, and configuration.
- Support backup and recovery activities.
- Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and infrastructure inventory.
- Assist in patch management and system updates.
- Participate in incident response and problem investigation under supervision.
- Support cloud migration and infrastructure improvement projects.
- Collaborate with Network, Security, and Technical Support teams when required.
- Learn and apply cloud computing best practices, security, and operational procedures.
Requirements
- Final-year student or fresh graduate in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of Linux and Windows Server.
- Basic knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Proxmox, Hyper-V, KVM, or similar).
- Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
During the internship, candidates will gain experience in:
