Job Description
BK STUDIO is seeking a creative, detail-oriented and technically skilled Interior Designer to join our team.
The ideal candidate has a strong design sensibility, a good understanding of interior design principles and the ability to translate design concepts into functional, aesthetically pleasing and technically feasible interior spaces. This role involves developing design concepts, preparing detailed drawings and specifications, selecting materials and finishes, and coordinating with clients, architects, consultants and contractors throughout the design process.
We are looking for someone who can balance creativity with technical precision, has a strong understanding of spatial planning and interior detailing, and is committed to delivering high-quality interior design solutions from concept development to technical documentation.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop creative interior design concepts based on client requirements, project briefs, functional needs and design objectives.
• Prepare interior design presentations, mood boards, material palettes, furniture layouts, material selections and interior specifications.
• Develop space planning, furniture layouts, reflected ceiling plans, interior elevations, sections and detailed interior working drawings.
• Produce 2D technical drawings and 3D interior models, including design visualizations and presentation materials.
• Translate design concepts into practical, technically accurate and buildable interior design solutions.
• Select appropriate materials, finishes, furniture, lighting and interior accessories based on design concepts, functionality and project requirements.
• Coordinate with architects, structural and MEP engineers, consultants, contractors and other project team members throughout the design development and implementation process.
• Conduct site visits to monitor project progress and ensure alignment with approved designs, technical drawings and quality standards.
• Revise and refine designs based on client feedback, technical requirements, budget considerations and site conditions.
• Assist in preparing material specifications, design documentation, presentations and other project deliverables.
• Ensure design deliverables meet project timelines, quality standards and applicable technical requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of professional experience in interior design.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating interior design capabilities and experience across residential, commercial or other project types.
• Proficient in relevant design and drafting software, with the ability to produce accurate 2D drawings, detailed interior working drawings and technical documentation.
• Capable of developing 3D interior models and producing high-quality design visualizations.
• Good understanding of space planning, interior detailing, construction methods, building materials, finishes, lighting and furniture specifications.
• Ability to translate design concepts into technically accurate and practical interior solutions.
• Strong design sensibility, spatial awareness, creativity, problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication, coordination and teamwork skills.
• Able to work independently, manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
• Proactive, responsible, adaptable and willing to learn and grow professionally.
