HR Generalist – Germany & Indonesia
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on HR Generalist to support our growing international organization across Germany and Indonesia.
In this role, you will be responsible for approximately 30–40 employees and will manage HR topics for two different business environments:
• HR support for a German company as part of our service organization
• Internal HR management for our Indonesian PT PMA
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys operational HR work, takes ownership, and is comfortable working across different countries, cultures, and employment frameworks.
Your Responsibilities
You will manage and coordinate day-to-day HR activities for employees in Germany and Indonesia, including:
• Employee administration and HR documentation
• Preparation and management of employment contracts, amendments, and HR-related documents
• Onboarding and offboarding processes
• Recruitment and coordination of hiring processes
• Employee communication and support for HR-related questions
• Attendance, leave, vacation, and personnel data management
• Coordination of payroll-related information
• Maintaining employee records and HR documentation
• Supporting performance and development processes
• Supporting managers with operational HR topics
• Developing and improving internal HR processes and policies
• Ensuring that HR procedures are structured, documented, and consistently followed
Indonesia
For our Indonesian PT PMA, you will also coordinate HR-related administrative and compliance topics.
You will work closely with our external accounting/tax consultant regarding areas such as:
• Payroll
• BPJS
• Employee taxation
• Employment administration
• Local HR compliance
• Government-related employment requirements
You do not need to be a tax specialist, but you should be able to coordinate these processes independently and ensure that all necessary information and documentation are provided correctly and on time.
Germany
For the German part of the role, you will support approximately part of the overall 30–40 employees as an external/internal HR service function.
Your responsibilities include:
• Employment contracts and amendments
• Employee administration
• Onboarding and offboarding
• Vacation and absence management
• HR documentation
• Coordination with payroll/accounting
• Support for employees and management
• Basic knowledge of German employment law and HR processes
Your Profile
We are looking for someone who is practical, structured, reliable, and comfortable taking responsibility.
Ideally, you have:
• Professional experience in HR, People Operations, or HR Administration
• Experience as an HR Generalist
• Good understanding of Indonesian HR processes and employment regulations
• Understanding of German HR processes and preferably German employment law
• Experience working with payroll, accounting, tax consultants, or external HR partners
• Experience with employment contracts and employee documentation
• Good organizational and administrative skills
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple HR topics at the same time
• High level of confidentiality and reliability
• very good English skills
German and/or Bahasa Indonesia skills are a strong advantage.
What We Are Looking For
This is not a purely strategic HR management position.
We are looking for someone who is willing to work hands-on and take care of the operational HR work directly.
You should be comfortable switching between tasks such as preparing an employment document, helping an employee with an HR question, coordinating payroll information with our tax consultant, supporting recruitment, and improving an internal HR process.
At the same time, we want someone who can help us build a professional and scalable HR structure as the organization continues to grow.
