Job Description
Star Island Media with brand Mlen Diary is looking for an experienced and proactive HR Manager who understands end-to-end HR operations and strategy. This role will be responsible for managing the entire HR cycle, manpower planning, KPI implementation, recruitment strategy, employee relations, and supporting communication with Mandarin-speaking management.
Responsibilities
HR Strategy & Operations
- Handle full-cycle Human Resources functions from recruitment to offboarding.
- Create and implement HR policies, SOP, and company regulations.
- Develop HR strategies aligned with company growth and operational needs.
- Monitor HR operational effectiveness and improve internal processes.
Recruitment & Manpower Planning
- Handle manpower planning and organizational structure development.
- Analyze hiring needs across departments.
- Manage recruitment process end-to-end including sourcing, screening, interviewing, offering, and onboarding.
- Build recruitment pipeline and improve hiring efficiency.
- Coordinate with hiring managers regarding recruitment needs and workforce planning.
KPI, Performance Appraisal & Compensation Management
- Develop and monitor KPI systems for employees and departments.
- Handle performance appraisal processes including probation review, annual review, and performance evaluation.
- Conduct employee performance assessments and support performance improvement plans.
- Ensure KPI implementation aligns with company objectives and departmental targets.
- Analyze employee performance trends and provide recommendations to management.
- Develop and improve compensation & benefits structure aligned with company budget and market standards.
- Handle salary benchmarking, incentive schemes, allowance structures, and employee benefit programs.
- Support payroll review and compensation adjustment processes based on employee performance and company policies.
- Maintain fair and competitive compensation practices to improve employee retention and motivation.
Employee Relations & HR Administration
- Handle employee relations and internal communication.
- Ensure compliance with Indonesian labor law and HR regulations.
- Supervise attendance, leave, payroll coordination, BPJS, contracts, and HR documentation.
- Handle disciplinary processes when necessary.
- Maintain employee database and HR reports.
Mandarin Communication Support
- Support communication between local team and Mandarin-speaking management.
- Assist in translating meetings, reports, and operational discussions when needed.
- Ensure smooth coordination between Indonesia and overseas management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Management, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years experience in HR, preferably as HR Supervisor or HR Manager.
- Strong understanding of full-cycle HR management.
- Experienced in manpower planning, KPI implementation, performance appraisal, and compensation & benefits management.
- Good understanding of Indonesian labor law, BPJS, and HR operational processes.
- Able to communicate in Mandarin (spoken and written).
- HSK certification is a plus.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work in fast-paced environment.
- Experience in retail, beauty, FMCG industry is a plus.
