Deskripsi pekerjaan housekeeping supervisor/guest relations Malaika Secret Home
About Anna’s Beach House
Anna’s Beach House is a private luxury beachfront villa on Gili Air, offering an elevated hospitality experience with personalized service for our guests.
We are not looking for a basic housekeeper. We are looking for someone who understands that luxury hospitality is created through details: cleanliness, preparation, warm guest communication, flexibility, privacy, and proactive service.
The villa currently has a small team, including a manager and housekeeping staff. This position will work closely with the manager and will also supervise the other housekeeper in day-to-day housekeeping and villa operations.
Position Overview
We are looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor / Guest Relations person based on Gili Air.
The role combines hands-on housekeeping, breakfast service, guest support, supervision of another housekeeper, stock management, laundry coordination, pool care, light maintenance, and daily villa operations.
The right person must be reliable, flexible, proactive, well-organized, and comfortable communicating with guests in English.
This role requires someone who can take responsibility, notice problems before guests do, and make sure the villa is always prepared to a high standard.
Main Responsibilities
Guest Relations & Personalized Service
Welcome guests on arrival and assist with check-in.
Explain the villa, facilities, breakfast arrangements, bicycles, house rules, staff support, and any other important information guests need during their stay.
Communicate with guests while they are staying at the villa.
Politely check in with guests when appropriate, without being intrusive.
Handle small guest requests and coordinate solutions when needed.
Support a personalized, elevated guest experience.
Understand when guests want friendly interaction and when they prefer full privacy.
Housekeeping Supervision
Supervise the other housekeeper in daily tasks.
Make sure housekeeping standards are followed consistently.
Coordinate the daily work between team members.
Help ensure that check-ins, check-outs, breakfast service, cleaning, laundry, stock, pool, garden, and villa refresh tasks are properly handled.
Report issues clearly to the manager.
Support the manager in keeping villa operations organized and professional.
Breakfast Service
Prepare and serve breakfast for guests according to the villa’s standards.
Coordinate breakfast timing based on guest preferences.
Work together with the other housekeeper when both are on duty.
Be able to prepare breakfast alone when the other team member is off.
Make sure the breakfast area, kitchen, dishes, and presentation are clean and well prepared.
Daily Villa Refresh & Guest Privacy
After breakfast, refresh the villa if the guests want daily service.
This may include making beds, cleaning bathrooms, tidying guest areas, refreshing towels if needed, cleaning the kitchen, and making sure the villa looks beautiful and guest-ready.
Guest privacy is very important. If guests request privacy or do not want housekeeping after breakfast, the team must respect this.
In some cases, if guests only want breakfast and full privacy, there may be very little or no additional guest-facing work during the day.
The role also includes returning in the afternoon, usually around 5 PM, to refresh outdoor areas, check the villa, tidy the terrace, garden, pool, and beachfront areas, and make sure everything is ready for the evening, unless guests request privacy.
Check-in / Check-out Days
Check-in and check-out days require more work and stronger organization.
When there is a same-day check-out and check-in, the villa must be fully cleaned, prepared, restocked, checked, and ready for the next guests on time.
This includes bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, pool area, terrace, garden, beach area, towels, linens, amenities, breakfast stock, and presentation details.
Attention to detail is very important on these days.
Stock Management
Monitor and organize villa supplies, including breakfast ingredients, cleaning products, guest amenities, drinking water, toiletries, towels, linens, spare parts, and other operational items.
Make sure there is always enough stock available.
Inform the manager in advance when items need to be purchased or restocked.
Keep storage areas organized and easy to manage.
Laundry Coordination
Coordinate laundry with the laundry service provider.
Make sure linens and towels are sent, received, checked, folded, stored, and available on time.
Check linen and towel quality and report damage, stains, or replacement needs.
Pool, Garden & Outdoor Area
Pool care is handled internally by the team.
This role includes hands-on support with pool-related tasks together with the other housekeeper.
The pool, terrace, garden, and beachfront areas must always look clean, fresh, and guest-ready.
The role also includes simple garden tasks when needed, such as trimming plants, cleaning leaves, organizing outdoor furniture, and keeping the beach-facing area presentable.
Light Maintenance
When there are no guests, or during quieter periods, the team also handles simple maintenance tasks.
This may include basic painting, small repairs, replacing simple spare parts, basic touch-ups, garden maintenance, cleaning outdoor areas, or preparing the villa for future guests.
If something breaks and it is simple to fix, the team should handle it when possible.
If a technician is needed, the role includes helping organize the technician, supervising the work, and making sure the issue is solved properly.
Coordination With Service Providers
Coordinate with external service providers when needed, including laundry, technicians, pest control, transport providers, or other local suppliers.
Arrange timing, follow up, and make sure work is done properly.
Supervise workers when they come to the villa.
Report problems or delays clearly to the manager.
Flexible Guest Support
This role requires flexibility. The working time depends partly on guest needs.
Normally, the team comes in the morning based on the guests’ requested breakfast time, prepares breakfast, refreshes the villa if requested, and returns again in the afternoon.
However, if guests check in late, have an evening request, or if there is an urgent issue at the villa, someone from the team must be available to assist.
Because Gili Air is a small tropical island, unexpected situations can happen, such as power cuts, water issues, weather-related problems, broken equipment, or urgent guest requests. In these cases, either this person or another team member must go to the villa and help solve the issue.
Flexibility and responsibility are essential for this position.
Requirements
Based on Gili Air or willing to live on Gili Air.
Experience in hospitality, villa operations, housekeeping, guest relations, boutique hotel, resort, or a similar role.

High attention to detail.
High cleanliness standards.
Flexible with working hours.
Comfortable working in a small team.
Able to solve practical problems.

Working Style
This is a hands-on role.
The right person should not wait to be told every small detail. We need someone who can see what needs to be done, take initiative, communicate clearly, and keep the villa running smoothly.
The guest experience is the priority. Cleanliness is essential, but this role is also about personalized service, privacy, communication, preparation, organization, and responsibility.
Growth Opportunity
The owners are also developing a larger luxury hospitality project on the island.
For the right person, there may be an opportunity to grow professionally and move into a bigger role in the future, depending on performance, attitude, reliability, and the needs of the new project.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate has worked in a villa, boutique hotel, guesthouse, resort, or high-quality hospitality environment before.
They should be comfortable with both practical work and guest interaction.
They do not need to be perfect from day one, but they must be reliable, honest, motivated, flexible, proactive, and willing to take ownership of the role.
Compensation
Salary range: IDR 3,500,000 – 5,000,000 per month, depending on experience and candidate quality.
This is an all-in salary.
Shared staff accommodation is provided.
For an excellent candidate with strong hospitality experience, good English, strong responsibility, leadership potential, and the right attitude, we are open to offering the higher end of the salary range.
