Head Cook
Job Summary
Responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, consistency, cleanliness, and smooth workflow. The Head Cook will lead the kitchen team and make sure all dishes are prepared according to the SOP
Responsibilities
* Lead and supervise the kitchen team during daily operations.
* Prepare and cook food according to recipes, standards, and presentation guidelines.
* Ensure consistency in taste, quality, portion, and presentation based on SOP.
* Monitor food preparation, cooking, and plating processes.
* Maintain kitchen cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards.
* Manage daily ingredient preparation and ensure sufficient stock for operations.
* Minimize food waste and monitor ingredient usage.
* Assist with inventory and communicate ingredient needs to the management team.
* Train and guide kitchen staff to maintain operational standards.
* Handle kitchen issues and ensure smooth operations.
* Develop or improve menu items and recipes (when needed).
* Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly used and maintained.
Requirements
* Previous experience as a Cook, Senior Cook, or Head Cook MINIMAL 2 YEARS EXPERIENCE
* Lead the kitchen team with confidence, authority, and strong leadership.
* Strong knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations.
* Good understanding of food hygiene and safety.
* Take ownership of the kitchen’s overall performance and never avoid responsibility for mistakes or operational issues.
