Key Responsibilities
- Lead the kitchen setup for the new hotpot restaurant
- Develop and standardize hotpot broths, sauces, and menu items
- Establish kitchen SOP, hygiene standards, and workflow
- Manage food cost, portion control, and inventory
- Train and supervise kitchen staff
- Ensure consistency in food quality and presentation
- Work closely with management on menu development and kitchen operations
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience in Chinese cuisine, preferably hotpot / Sichuan-style cuisine
- Experience as Head Chef / Sous Chef / Kitchen Leader
- Strong knowledge of broth preparation, sauce bases, and hotpot ingredients
- Able to design kitchen workflow and train kitchen team
- Good understanding of food cost control and kitchen management
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience opening a new restaurant or kitchen setup
- Familiar with authentic Chinese hotpot concepts
- Experience working with multi-cultural teams
