Rise & Grind Bali is a specialty coffee shop opening soon in the heart of Uluwatu, Bali. We are committed to delivering exceptional coffee experiences through premium coffee beans, outstanding customer service, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere that keeps guests coming back.
As part of our Opening Team, we are looking for an experienced and passionate Head Barista to help establish our operational standards, beverage quality, and team culture from day one.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the daily operations of the coffee bar and beverage department.
- Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation standards of all beverages.
- Train, mentor, and develop baristas to achieve high performance and service excellence.
- Develop, implement, and maintain operational SOPs.
- Manage inventory, stock levels, and ordering of coffee and beverage supplies.
- Conduct regular stock takes and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Ensure cleanliness, organization, and hygiene standards are consistently maintained.
- Contribute to beverage menu development and product innovation.
- Demonstrate and maintain high standards in latte art and beverage presentation.
- Work closely with management to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Handle customer feedback and complaints professionally and effectively.
- Foster a positive, customer-focused culture within the team.
- Work closely with the Store Manager/Owner to ensure operational excellence, provide daily performance and inventory reports, communicate business needs and opportunities, and support the achievement of company objectives.
Requirements:
- Minimum High School Diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a coffee shop, café, or beverage business.
- Previous experience as a Senior Barista, Barista Supervisor, Head Barista, or Beverage Supervisor.
- Strong knowledge of specialty coffee, espresso extraction, manual brewing methods, milk texturing, and latte art.
- Strong knowledge of coffee and beverage recipes
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written (required).
- Experience serving international customers or working in a tourist-oriented environment is highly preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Experience in inventory management, stock control, and stock taking.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer-oriented mindset with a passion for hospitality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Creative, proactive, and up to date with coffee industry trends.
- Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
