Head Barista

ZIN Canggu Resort & Villas is a boutique resort in the heart of Canggu, Bali, located on Jl. Nelayan, around 100 metres from the beach. It combines accommodation, dining, co-working, fitness, wellness and event spaces in one property.

Job Summary :

The Head Barista is responsible for leading the daily coffee and beverage operation, ensuring consistently high standards of beverage quality, presentation, service, hygiene and guest satisfaction.

The role oversees the barista team, manages daily bar operations, maintains coffee and beverage standards and supports the F&B management team in achieving operational, financial and guest experience targets. The Head Barista also plays an active role in staff training, product development, stock control and maintaining an efficient and welcoming beverage environment.

Key Responsibilities :

• Oversee the daily operation of the coffee and beverage station.
• Ensure the bar is fully prepared before service and properly closed at the end of each shift.
• Organize staff duties and ensure adequate coverage during busy periods.
• Maintain a clean, organized and professional bar area at all times.
• Prepare and serve coffee and beverages according to established recipes and quality standards.
• Ensure consistency in espresso extraction, milk texture, temperature, presentation and taste.
• Monitor the quality and freshness of coffee beans, milk, syrups, garnishes and other beverage ingredients.
• Maintain and calibrate coffee machines, grinders and other bar equipment as required.
• Ensure all beverages are presented according to the hotel's standards.
• Lead, supervise and motivate the barista team during daily operations.
• Coach team members on coffee knowledge, beverage preparation, service standards, hygiene and guest interaction.
• Handle guest feedback and complaints professionally and promptly.
