Deskripsi pekerjaan Guru Seni Musik / Music Teacher Surabaya Intercultural School
Music Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering engaging music lessons for both Elementary and Secondary division. On a day-to-day basis, the teacher will teach practical and theoretical music, guide students in singing and playing instruments, prepare lesson materials, assess student progress, and provide feedback to support their development.
The role also includes managing classroom routines and music resources, supporting rehearsals and performances, preparing students for school concerts and events, and collaborating with other teachers when music is integrated into school activities. The Music Teacher is expected to maintain positive communication with parents, contribute to the wider school community, and help create an inclusive and enjoyable learning environment where students can appreciate and express themselves through music.
Required
- Relevant teaching experience, preferably in an international school setting
- Proficiency in one or more musical instruments, proven by certification
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Passionate about working with students of different ages. Responsible, professional, and attentive when supervising students
Preferred
- Experience working with multilingual learners
- Experience working in multicultural or international school environments
- Familiarity with the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), U.S. curriculum standards, and/or Advanced Placement (AP) courses
