Deskripsi pekerjaan Graphic Designer – Packaging & Print GELFLEX INDONESIA
We are seeking a talented, creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer to join our team, with strong expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Adobe Illustrator, as well as Photoshop and InDesign.
This role goes beyond traditional marketing design. You will be responsible for developing and preparing artwork for real-world packaging and printed products, taking projects from initial concepts and client briefs through to final, print-ready production files.
Accuracy and attention to detail are essential. You will need to work confidently with technical specifications, established artwork guidelines and production requirements, ensuring all designs are accurate and suitable for the printing and manufacturing process.
We are looking for someone with a strong technical understanding of graphic design and commercial printing, who takes pride in producing high-quality, precise and production-ready artwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and develop artwork for packaging, labels and various printed products.
- Produce detailed vector artwork and intricate patterns involving small dots, lines and other design elements.
- Prepare colour separations and individual print layers.
- Work with packaging dielines and production templates.
- Prepare and finalise print-ready production files.
- Manage spot colours, CMYK specifications and colour matching.
- Make artwork adjustments following print and production trials.
- Review and check artwork for accuracy, consistency and compliance with production requirements.
- Liaise with printers, suppliers and other stakeholders when required.
- Manage artwork files, client briefs, revisions and related administration.
- Communicate directly with clients to understand project requirements and implement feedback.
Skills & Experience
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator.
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and InDesign.
- Previous experience in commercial printing and/or packaging.
- Excellent understanding of vector artwork and graphic design principles.
- Experience in colour separation and preparing artwork for print production.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to identify artwork errors and inconsistencies.
- Ability to understand and follow technical specifications, printing requirements and established production processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good English communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- A clear understanding of the difference between designing for on-screen presentation and preparing artwork for actual printing and production.
- Experience with specialised printing techniques such as pad, screen, gravure or flexographic printing will be highly regarded.
