Job Description:
- Design, develop, maintain, and enhance backend applications and services using Golang (Go) for banking and financial services projects.
- Develop scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services, APIs, and microservices.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate backend services with internal and external banking systems.
- Develop business logic and backend components based on business and technical requirements.
- Work closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, IT Project Managers, QA Engineers, DevOps Engineers, and other development teams to deliver project requirements.
- Participate actively in the Agile/Scrum development lifecycle, including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Retrospective.
- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards, clean code principles, and development best practices.
- Design and optimize database queries and data access using relational and/or NoSQL databases.
- Implement appropriate error handling, logging, validation, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues across development, testing, and production environments.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and resource utilization.
- Develop unit tests, integration tests, and support QA activities to ensure application quality.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines, application deployment, monitoring, and production releases.
- Ensure backend applications comply with banking security standards, data protection requirements, and internal technology policies.
- Prepare technical documentation, API documentation, and other relevant development documents.
- Support production incidents, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement activities.
- Contribute to technical discussions, solution design, and continuous improvement of the overall application architecture.
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer / Backend Developer, with strong experience in Golang.
- Mandatory experience in the Banking or Financial Services industry.
- Strong hands-on experience with Golang (Go) for backend application development.
- Strong understanding of Go fundamentals, concurrency, goroutines, channels, interfaces, error handling, and package management.
- Experienced in developing RESTful APIs, backend services, and microservices using Golang.
- Good understanding of Microservices Architecture and distributed systems.
- Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or similar relational databases.
- Experience with Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging/caching technologies is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
- Good understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodology.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of API security, authentication/authorization, encryption, and secure coding practices, particularly in financial applications.
- Experience integrating backend services with banking systems, payment systems, financial APIs, or other enterprise applications is highly preferred.
