General Manager – Food Court & Retail Operations

We are looking for an experienced General Manager – Food Court & Retail Operations to lead the development and operation of a large-scale employee dining and commercial area.

The site covers approximately 800 sqm and will accommodate multiple food & beverage tenants, retail concepts, and supporting facilities such as a minimarket.

This role is not only responsible for daily operations, but also for building a commercially sustainable concept that can be replicated across multiple locations in the future.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial & Tenant Management

- Develop the overall tenant mix and commercial strategy for the area.
- Identify, approach, negotiate, and onboard F&B and retail tenants.
- Manage rental, revenue-sharing, and other commercial partnership models.
- Maintain high tenant occupancy and continuously improve tenant performance.
- Evaluate tenant concepts, pricing, product mix, and suitability for the target market.
- Identify additional revenue opportunities within the site.

Business Development

- Build partnerships with F&B brands, retailers, suppliers, and strategic partners.
- Support expansion opportunities into additional corporate, office, industrial, or commercial locations.
- Develop a scalable business model and operating playbook for future sites.
- Prepare business plans, revenue projections, and site feasibility analysis.

Operational Management

- Oversee the end-to-end daily operations of the food court and retail area.
- Ensure cleanliness, safety, facility readiness, service standards, and customer experience.
- Establish and monitor operational SOPs for all tenants.
- Coordinate maintenance, security, cleaning, utilities, waste management, and supporting vendors.
- Handle operational issues and ensure fast resolution of tenant or customer concerns.

Financial Performance

- Manage site revenue, operating expenses, and profitability.
- Monitor tenant sales performance and commercial productivity.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and regular management reports.
- Identify opportunities to improve margins and operating efficiency.

Customer Experience & Activation

- Create programs, promotions, and activations to increase traffic and spending.
- Ensure the area remains attractive, relevant, and convenient for employees.
- Work closely with internal teams and partners to continuously improve the customer experience.

Qualifications

- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial operations, retail, food court, mall, F&B, hospitality, property management, or related industries.
- Minimum 2–3 years in a managerial or leadership position.
- Experience managing multiple tenants or commercial partners is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of leasing, tenant management, commercial negotiation, and operational management.
- Strong business and financial acumen.
- Comfortable working with revenue targets, budgets, and P&L.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, problem-solving, and execution skills.
- Able to build systems and processes from the ground up.
- Entrepreneurial and highly hands-on.
- Experience in opening new sites or managing multi-location operations is a strong advantage.
