We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Gardener to join the team at LUNATICA BALI in South Kuta, Bali. This is a full-time position where you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the landscapes and gardens at our property. As a Gardener, you will play a crucial role in creating and preserving beautiful outdoor spaces that reflect our commitment to excellence and provide an exceptional environment for our guests and staff. Your expertise in horticulture and landscaping will be essential to the overall aesthetics and functionality of our grounds.
Key responsibilities
Maintain and care for gardens, lawns, and landscaped areas, including regular watering, weeding, and pruning
Operate and maintain landscaping equipment and tools in a safe and professional manner
Plan and implement seasonal planting schedules and flower displays
Monitor plant health and identify and treat diseases, pests, and other issues
Prepare garden beds and soil, including composting and mulching
Perform hardscaping tasks such as pathway maintenance, edging, and drainage management
Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and plant inventory
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of garden storage areas and tool sheds
Collaborate with management to enhance outdoor aesthetics and address landscaping needs
Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety standards
What we're looking for
Proven experience as a Gardener or in a similar landscaping role, preferably within a hospitality or resort setting
Strong knowledge of tropical plants, flowers, and gardening practices suited to Bali's climate
Proficiency in operating landscaping equipment, including lawnmowers, trimmers, and irrigation systems
Sound understanding of soil preparation, composting, and plant nutrition
Ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision
Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour in tropical weather conditions
Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of garden aesthetics
Basic problem-solving skills to address plant health issues and landscaping challenges
Flexibility to work as required, including weekends if necessary
Valid documentation to work in Indonesia
