Job description for Frontend Engineering Lead at Fetch Technology
- Build user-facing experiences for them to realize their vision of being the fastest way to checkout on any platform.
- Code and consult on all areas related to frontend development.
- Create new views utilizing VueJS.
- Enhance current VueJS and ReactJS setups.
- Ensure UI components and libraries are reliable, scalable, secure, and extensible.
- Do code reviews.
- Write code documentation.
- Debug production issues across Arrow with an eye towards improving maintainability over the long term.
- Work closely with the Design and Backend Engineering teams to create the best end-user experience.
- Managing hybrid team of frontend engineers.
- Report directly to the CTO and will also be responsible for any other ad-hoc tasks as delegated by the CTO.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a front-end developer.
- Experience leading a small team in their current role.
- In-depth knowledge of building scalable component libraries, design systems, and tools using JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Experience in shipping high-quality products from start to finish.
- Experience in PHP - Laravel is preferred.
- Prior experience with e-commerce and/or payments is preferred.
- Experience in conducting code reviews.
- Experience in writing code documentation.
- Analytical and can be creative with data.
- Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.
- Highly motivated, innovative, and loves the thrill of being in a fast-paced environment while being able to multitask to meet deadlines.
- Experience working in startups.
- Ability to manage sprints / Scrum processes.
