A Front Office All-Rounder is a multitasking role in hospitality.

Core Responsibilities

  • Guest Services: Welcoming guests, managing the reservation system, and processing payments upon arrival and departure.
  • Check-in/Check-out: Manage the entire registration process, assign rooms, issue keys, verify payments, and process guest departures smoothly.
  • Multitasking: Assisting different departments, such as occasionally helping housekeeping with room inspections or assisting the F&B team during busy periods.
  • Communication: Acting as the primary point of contact for inquiries, emails, and phone calls.
  • Issue Resolution: Handling guest feedback and maintaining high satisfaction standards.

The comprehensive job description spans four main areas:

1. Guest Experience & Welcome

  • First Impressions: Greet guests with a warm, professional, and memorable attitude.
  • Check-in/Check-out: Manage the entire registration process, assign rooms, issue keys, verify payments, and process guest departures smoothly.
  • Concierge Services: Provide information about hotel amenities, local attractions, dining, and transportation.

2. Reservations & Administration

  • Booking Management: Handle room reservations via phone, email, or walk-ins, and process modifications or cancellations.
  • Database Maintenance: Update guest profiles, track preferences, and ensure accurate billing and cash handling.

3. Problem Solving

  • Complaint Resolution: Listen to guest concerns, address issues promptly, and ensure a high standard of service recovery.
  • Special Requests: Fulfill ad-hoc demands like arranging wake-up calls, extra amenities, or handling safe deposit boxes.

4. Operations & Teamwork

  • Cross-Department Coordination: Work closely with Housekeeping (for room status/cleaning) and Maintenance (for urgent repairs).
  • Security & Safety: Monitor lobby activity, enforce safety protocols, and communicate with security staff when necessary.
