About the role
This is a contract role for an Freight Forwarding Staff to join the team at PT Samsung SDS Global SCL Indonesia with a 3rd party vendor employment. As an Freight Forwarding Staff, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end export and import processes for the company's clients. This is a crucial role supporting the broader logistics and supply chain operations of the business.
What you'll be doing
Preparing and processing all necessary documentation for export and import shipments
- Coordinating with customs authorities, logistics providers and clients to ensure timely and compliant clearance of goods
- Maintaining detailed records and reports on all import and export activities
- Communicating with clients to provide updates and resolve any issues or queries
- Supporting the wider logistics team with other administrative and operational tasks as required
What we're looking for
At least 1 year' experience in an export-import or logistics role, preferably within the freight/cargo forwarding industry
- Strong knowledge of export-import regulations, documentation requirements and customs clearance procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with clients, authorities and logistics providers
- Proficient in using relevant software and IT systems to manage logistics data and documentation
- Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team to meet deadlines
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia
