FREELANCE 3D PRODUCT DESIGNER TRAINER
Job type: Freelance (hourly rate)
Shift and schedule: Approx. 1-2 sessions per week on weekdays, 1 hour per session
Teaching Location: Jakarta, Tangerang City, South Tangerang, and/or Depok
Fee Range: IDR 600.000 - 1.200.000 per month (IDR 150.000/class hour)

The 3D Product Design Trainer is responsible for delivering engaging, hands-on training in 3D product design and 3D printing for primary to high school students. This role guides students through the process of developing functional products, from basic 3D modelling and design concepts to preparing and producing printable prototypes. The Trainer will use tools such as Tinkercad and Bambu Studio, prepare learning materials and activities, manage classroom sessions, monitor students’ progress, and create a safe and supportive learning environment that encourages creativity, problem-solving, and practical application of STEAM concepts.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and interactive 3D Product Design and STEAM lessons for primary to high school students.
- Prepare lesson materials, teaching resources, 3D printing equipment, and classroom logistics in advance.
- Conduct project-based and hands-on activities covering 3D design, modelling, prototyping, and 3D printing.
- Guide students in developing functional 3D-printed products, from concept and modelling to printing and testing.
- Support students in testing and improving their designs based on actual printing results.
- Monitor and document students’ learning progress, manage classroom activities effectively, and support programme-related activities and events.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of teaching or training experience in technology, digital skills, STEAM, or a related field.
- Fluent in English with good verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience teaching or working with elementary school students is highly preferred.
- Familiar with Tinkercad for basic 3D design and modelling.
- Familiar with Bambu Studio for preparing 3D models for printing, including basic slicing and print settings.
- Able to explain technical concepts in a simple, engaging, and age-appropriate manner for elementary school students.
- Strong interest in inspiring students through technology and S.T.E.A.M. programmes.
- Patient, approachable, and passionate about teaching children and young adults.
- Possess a growth mindset, adaptable and flexible, with a positive attitude.
- Possess a high degree of professionalism (e.g., in appearance and conduct).
- Willing to teach on a freelance basis in Jadetabek area, with teaching schedules arranged based on program requirements.
