For those who dream of living and working in Bali in a full-time hospitality management role, a new position is opening at Merlin's in Ubud, Bali:
We are looking for an exceptional Floor Manager with international service standards.

- Extensive experience managing restaurant floor operations/teams in high-end restaurants, luxury hotels, beach clubs or hospitality venues;
- Strong knowledge of international food & beverage service standards and guest experience;
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to direct, motivate, coach and develop service teams;
- Solid understanding of bar operations and beverage service;
- Experience handling busy service periods while maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction;
- A proactive, hands-on management style with outstanding attention to detail;
- Strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills;
- Advanced English proficiency. Bahasa Indonesia is a big plus;
- International hospitality experience is highly valued.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading daily restaurant floor operations and ensuring exceptional guest experiences;
- Working closely with the Customer Relation Manager to coordinate floor coverage across different shifts;
- Learning Merlin's internal systems from the Customer Relation Manager while providing operational floor leadership and coaching in return;
- Supervising the service team throughout service, ensuring consistency, efficiency and adherence to company standards;
- Overseeing housekeeping activities together with the dedicated team to ensure impeccable cleanliness and presentation throughout the venue;
- Managing maintenance requests, coordinating repairs and ensuring the restaurant facilities remain in excellent condition at all times;
- Conducting daily operational inspections and ensuring every area of the venue is guest-ready before service;
- Supporting management in implementing improvements and maintaining Merlin's high hospitality standards.
Candidate Profile
- Available to start 1st October;
- Based in Bali is preferred. Candidates based in Jakarta or elsewhere in Indonesia who are able to travel to Bali for interviews are also welcome to apply;
- Open to both Indonesian and Expat candidates;
- Preference will be given to highly experienced Indonesian hospitality professionals with a proven background in premium service environments.
