Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain highly accurate financial records and general ledger entries.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Perform comprehensive account reconciliations (including bank, cash, receivables, and payables).
- Monitor cash flow and financial performance while assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Ensure strict compliance with local accounting standards and regional tax regulations.
- Prepare and file necessary tax returns (e.g., VAT/GST, corporate income tax, withholding tax).
- Support internal/external audits by preparing documentation and directly liaising with external auditors.
- Stay updated on regulatory and tax law updates affecting the business.
- Process vendor invoices, outgoing payments, and employee expense reports accurately and on time.
- Monitor accounts receivable and proactively follow up on outstanding payments.
- Maintain and optimize proper corporate billing and collections processes.
- Maintain, review, and improve internal controls and corporate accounting procedures.
- Identify bottlenecks to streamline financial workflows and maximize efficiency.
- Support the implementation, migration, or optimization of accounting software and systems.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of professional accounting experience.
- Accounting Standards: Strong working knowledge of established accounting principles (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
- Advanced Excel Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (must be highly comfortable with pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and deep data analysis).
- Software Familiarity: Practical experience with modern cloud accounting software or ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, NetSuite, or similar).
- Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a proven ability to work independently to meet tight closing deadlines.
