Finance & Import Specialist

We are looking for a hands-on finance professional who is highly experienced in import but also capable of handling general finance operations. You should be comfortable working with numbers, documents, large datasets, and multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Finance & Import Specialist with strong expertise in import processes and documentation, combined with solid general finance and accounting skills.
Responsibilities
Import & Finance
- Handle end-to-end import finance administration and documentation
- Review import documents such as Commercial Invoice, Packing List, B/L or AWB, Certificate of Origin, and related documents
- Prepare and reconcile import costing, landed cost, freight, customs duties, and import taxes
- Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, banks, and internal teams
- Monitor import shipments, payments, and related financial transactions
- Handle daily finance activities including AP, AR, payment processing, expense recording, and reconciliation
- Assist with monthly closing and financial reporting
- Prepare payment schedules, finance reports, and supporting documents
- Maintain accurate financial and import records
Reporting & Excel
- Maintain finance, import, payment, and shipment trackers
- Prepare and analyze financial and import-related data
- Perform reconciliation and identify discrepancies
- Create and maintain Excel-based reports for finance and import operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 4–5 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Import Finance, or Import Administration
- Strong hands-on experience in import processes and documentation is mandatory
- Good understanding of customs clearance, import taxes, landed cost, and international shipping documents
- Solid understanding of general finance and accounting
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are mandatory (Pivot Table, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, SUMIFS)
- Detail-oriented, analytical, organized, and highly accurate
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems is a plus
- Good communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English
- Experience in fashion, retail, FMCG, trading, or import-oriented companies is preferred
