Finance & Accounting Executive
(Full-Time, Onsite – Jakarta)
About the Role
OCX is looking for a Finance & Accounting Executive to build and manage our finance function as the company grows across Southeast Asia.
This role is ideal for someone with solid accounting experience who can work independently, take ownership of day-to-day finance operations, and help establish financial processes from the ground up. You will handle full-cycle accounting, Indonesian tax compliance, financial reporting, and multi-currency reconciliations.
You will work directly with the founders and have the opportunity to take on greater responsibility and potentially lead a finance team as OCX expands.
Key Responsibilities
- Full-Cycle Accounting: Manage accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), general ledger (GL), and monthly closing.
- Financial Reconciliation: Reconcile operating bank accounts, custodial wallets, seller payouts, and refunds across multiple currencies.
- Tax Compliance: Handle Indonesian tax reporting and filing through Coretax, including VAT, PPh 21, and PPh 23.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly Profit & Loss (P&L), Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports, as well as project-level P&L reports when needed.
- Finance Operations: Manage budget tracking, vendor payments, invoicing, and expense records across teams.
- Process Development: Establish and improve finance workflows, documentation, and internal controls as the company grows.
- Cross-Team Coordination: Work with internal teams and external finance or tax advisors to resolve discrepancies and keep financial records accurate.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of hands-on accounting experience, with the ability to manage month-end closing independently.
- Solid understanding of full-cycle accounting, including AR, AP, GL, and financial reporting.
- Practical experience with Indonesian tax compliance, particularly VAT, PPh 21, and PPh 23.
- Experience handling multi-currency transactions, preferably IDR and SGD.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of tasks with minimal supervision.
- Able to work in a fast-moving startup environment where processes may need to be built or improved along the way.
Nice to Have
- Experience leading a small team.
- Background in an audit or public accounting firm.
- Experience across accounting, finance, and tax functions.
- Experience in an early-stage or high-growth startup.
- Experience setting up finance processes or systems from scratch.
- Familiarity with marketplaces, fintech, or e-commerce, especially escrow, custodial funds, and payment gateway reconciliation.
- Familiarity with Singapore accounting and tax requirements, including IRAS
